HOW WE GOT HERE
Texas Ranch Brokers was founded in 2011 when two competing Hill Country firms — Bacon Investments and Circle C Ranch Sales — combined forces under one roof. Mike Bacon and Drew Colvin had been working the same counties, often chasing the same buyers, and figured the Hill Country would be better served by one strong team than two smaller ones. The merger was equal parts handshake and good business sense.
Fifteen years later, that decision has produced one of the most respected ranch brokerages in Central Texas. We’ve closed over $610 million in ranch sales across roughly 102,000+ acres — but more importantly, we’ve helped hundreds of families buy their place, sell their legacy, or move into the next chapter of ranch life.
We’re still based right where we started: 313 S. Main Street in Burnet, Texas. We chose a physical office in the Hill Country on purpose. This is where our clients live, where our listings are, and where we want to be reached. Drop in any weekday — coffee’s on.

Mike Bacon — Broker & Partner
Mike has been buying, selling, and walking Texas ranch land for decades. His background in ranch investment gives him a sharp eye for both market value and long-term potential — what a piece of land could become, not just what it is today. Mike’s clients tend to be the ones planning for the next generation, and he’s known for being the partner who’s still on the phone with a buyer three years after closing, helping them think through improvements.
Drew Colvin — Partner & Agent
Drew is the kind of broker who’d rather meet you on the property than in the office. With deep ties to the Hill Country and a track record of complex, multi-party ranch transactions, Drew’s strength is finding the right buyer for the right ranch — and getting both sides to the table. He’s been representing landowners and buyers across Burnet, Lampasas, and Llano counties for years, and the relationships show.
